Mel Brooks is a sick sick man! All his stuff from that era just cracks me up! I Love it! The guys who grew up coming in early on Saturday nights just to catch the original Saturday Night Live cast didn't make it into our 50s and 60s with out being a few degrees off plumb.

Well considering the time frame of Blazing Saddles I am still amazed that he was able to pull that off. Love the movie, just if something like that was made today we would have riots. As for SNL...LAND SHARK!!!!!!!!!!

Well, the UPS guy paid me a visit yesterday :), so I thought maybe it was time to knock the dust off this thread and drag it back on track. Unfortunately, the forum has apparently exceeded it's attachment limit, so I can't post a photo. :-[ (Sorry, no photobucket account).
Anyway, after a 2.5 year wait...it's here! I had asked John for a simple, clean, understated, working man's carry gun. This is a gun which will live in a holster, and never see the inside of a safe...
The finished product is a 4.75 inch stainless, with Desert Ironwood grips. Very pretty, without any swag.
I tore it down this morning, meticulously detailed every nook and cranny with Q-tips, and reassembled with my favorite synthetic ATF fluid. Reckon I probably otter take it out for a walk this afternoon. :)
And I reckon this means that pretty chestnut bay I got from WildWill two years ago will get cut out of the herd...

Thanks. And thanks to Craig for posting the pic. It was taken indoors on the loading bench, so not the best. Outdoor weather is not presently hospitable to camera work.
Next project is probably to take a hacksaw to it and cut the flair off the bottom end of the backstrap, like I've done with the .45. (Don't tell John)!

Nice job Paden. It looks like a shinier twin to the one John sent me. Congrats. Hacksaw to a Linebaugh! I'd sooner chop off a thumb.
