Maybe spit vodka on it, and smoke a cigar backwards too?
Scratch that. Mix the vodka with orange juice, pour over ice, and smoke the cigar the normal way. No sense wasting good booze & tobacco.

I think you need a dead chicken, a picture of the gun, some fire and some liquor. You just descibed a BBQ! Dead chicken + fire + liquor (beer) = BBQ. Wait, I'm hijacking! ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) Very interested to hear how she shoots, Fermin. What are you going to replace this missing front bead with?

Picked up a like 625 yesterday. Remembered this thread. For some reason I'd forgotten that it was a PC 625 that Fermin was fighting with. Read back through the 10 pages. I need to shoot a few targets with mine and see what we get..

It probably won't shoot. I'll give you $100 for it.

Just noticed this thread, gonna have to weigh in here on barrels. I sent a 640 back for a barrel change because it had tool marks all the way down the length of the barrel. New barrel installed, the forcing cone had wrinkles in the grooves it had been torqued so hard. Called them back, shipped it again, new barrel installed, received it last week, the barrel appears to have been installed and some wise guy put a cutting tool on a Dremal and "relieved" the first 1/4 inch to the tune that THIS BARREL IS RUINED, got fed up and called the service dept. and talked to the supervisor about the problem, raised some hell just to make myself feel better, now waiting on a Fed Ex Return label to mail it back again, I told them if it is not right this time I would make it a Christmas Present to a Mr. James Dabney, who is supposed to be running the show at Smith & Wesson at this time. I have NEVER seen such a mess on a firearm in my life, went to a gunshow this weekend and examined several NEW Smith's to see what they looked like, they were all picture perfect. FOUR times it will be to get a simple barrel installation for poor worksmanship, what is happening to our firearms manufacturing companies, wish I had a camera to post the pic's as it is beyond description to give you the full effect.

$130? Now that is what I am talking about! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Let's shoot it and see what it does. If it looks to be headed down the same path Dogs' PC 625 I might just give it away... ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Hopefully it will be fine. I got a Model 25-2 Target from a guy at work, and the first few times out with handloads and factory jacketed hardball, it just wouldn't shoot. 4+ inches at 25 yards, and that was one of the good groups. I was shooting some spicier handloads that shot really well in my 1911s. Played around with the loads a bit and found that it really liked semi wadcutters over 5.0 grains of HP38. Those will stack on top of each other off the bags. I have some auto rim brass sitting on the shelf that I've been meaning to try with heavier 45 Colt bullets.

AxeHandle I hope it'll shoot, I'm thinking it will. Hope you don't have to go through the hassle 2 Dogs has. Frank

I picked up a 625 JM this week. While not the PC version mine seems to show some promise. I only tried one load which is my IDPA load. There's some minor leading on the forcing cone end of the barrel. The cylinder throats pass a .451+ pin (with a bit of shake) but not .452+ pin so I am inclined to say the throats are .4515". I plan to bring home some more pins for the barrel tomorrow after work. Then again, maybe I don't want to know.....hhhmmmm Surely don't want the hassles 2 Dogs has had with his gun.

You must have luck like mine. My .475 BFR had to go back 4 times for barrels with obvious gouges inside - the last time it came back they left off the front sight. I have since had several BRFs go through my hands and none have had any of the issues this gun had. It has a great barrel and shoots great now - but the road to get here was not pretty.

![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png) It's unbelievable how little these people seem to care about their jobs or pride in their work. It has to be the most simple of fixes, they put barrels on thousands of guns each week, my patience is shot and I'm so disappointed in this American Owned Company. I worked for the Post Office for 15 years, and watched their self inflicted demise until it has become almost non- existent, this will be the way of Smith & Wesson if it doesn't become aware of it's internal problems and fix them BEFORE it's too late. Sorry for the negative input but it's beyond my comprehension.

This a sample of what they "fixed for the third time", damage goes FULL CIRCLE, the entire forcing cone. It's goin back ![](http://i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q665/Avidreader7/IMG_0782_zps3d71d8f9.jpg) today ![](http://i1353.photobucket.com/albums/q665/Avidreader7/IMG_0785_zps28fb8a65.jpg) .
