Interesting. Check out the 350gr 296 load at 20.0gr. 29900 CUP. Here's current Hodgdon data for H110. 21.0gr 28,300CUP. I'm running 21.5 with a 355gr in my SBH right at 1200. No pressure signs.
360 GR. CPB LFN GC H110 .452" 1.680" 18.0 1012 20,200 CUP 21.0 1151 28,300 CUP
I think that's the only 300gr Unique load I've seen though. Never looked much.

Powders do vary from lot to lot and you will also notice that case capacity changes based on where the crimp groove is located. I wish this called out cast or jacketed and better yet brand and style of bullet. But it's the best we got so far.

Also, if you see pressure signs, you are WAY over 6 shot Ruger .45 Colt loads. Think about this. If a primer flattens in a .44 mag and has sticky extraction, and you think that you're a little too hot, then the same thing happens in a .45 Colt, why would you think you were at a different pressure? The brass and primers are both made the same.

The brass and primers are both made the same. Ya, the current Hodgdon data lists the Cast Performance 360gr specifically. My 355er is one I cast from a custom LBT mould. It allows more case capacity than the CP 360 which I've loaded as well at 21gr max load as per the data. I'm .5 gr over that with a boolit with more case capacity than the CP and running just shy of 1200. That .5 gr shrunk my groups. I've shot about 1000 of these loads in the SBH Hunter and about half that many in my Redhawk before I put a 454 cylinder in it. Anyway, back on topic My point was I was just pointing out the differences in the data. Thanks for posting it all.

Neat snag. I've been shooting 20.0 of H110 under a 340 gr SSK since the 90's. Never given me a problem, though some say it's past "Ruger Only". BTW, I know Ross' original 'buffalo load' from 1983. I won't publish it here, but it makes this manual look pussycat. And remember, he was only using a 6-shot Seville with a 0.030" over cylinder at the time. When he finally pressure tested them they approached 70K. -Lee www.singleactions.com

I have the article where he talks about that load.
I also remember where he said something to the effect that the heavier bullets were easier to push a lot faster with small powder increases and thinking "pressure".
I guess some folks like to use the safety net like a hammock.

Hmm, I have this edition and it doesnt have alot of those loads in it. Especially not the 325gr or 350gr loads. Mine also doesnt have the warnings at the bottom of the page.

Nice one! I'll have to put it on my gunshow book table search list. Big fan of old loading manuals here... Of course we all need to recognize that the old stuff that looks questionable needs to be approached cautiously. Wish I could find those fired 38 Super cases from the Blue Dot loads from the late 70s.. The primer and case heads were one. Never saw anything like it. Bottom line is hold on to those old manuals and don't be afraid to look at them but pull your current books out for a sanity check before you load... And... The one old 3 screw 45 Colt Ruger hasn't got to worry about it. Here in North Alabama custom tight chambered 5 shot 45 Colts rule!

I've been shooting 330gr BTB WFN PB over 22.0gr H110 and it has been a ragged hole group shooter from my SBH Bisley Hunter in .45 colt.

Another good accurate fun plinkin load has been 255gr SWC and the RCBS 270gr SAA boolit under 13.0gr HS-6. My 5 1/2" Bisley convertible really likes this load, easy on recoil too.

Yes, this is in the silhouette section.
YES MAKE SURE YOU COMPARE NOTES AND CONSIDER NOSE LENGTH + WORK UP! Without even a COAL listed, you are left in the dark about true case capacity.
