Fiveshooter
I've had a lot of fun with the .44 Special & Trailboss powder. Nice mild ACCURATE loads that are a lot of fun to shoot. You are going to like that .44 Special. Keep at it, you'll get just the right load. Frank

Then I'll shoot em off the bench hopefuly my groups will be a little smaller I think Ill load some with Ross's load of 19 gr of H110. And see how it goes Mark

That Ross guy does not seem to know much about 44 specials although he seems to think he is an authority. Wasn't the 44 Special a smokeless powder original? When did it ever have balloon head brass? [/quote]
WHAT TURNIP TRUCK DID YOU JUST FALL OFF?? "THAT ROSS GUY" HAS FORGOTTEN MORE THAN YOU WILL PROBABLY EVER KNOW. YES THE .44 SPECIAL IN LATE 1907 WAS A BLACK POWDER CARTRIDGE. YES IT USED BALLOON HEAD BRASS UNTIL AFTER WWII. IF ANYONE DOESN'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE .44 SPECIAL HERE IT ISN'T THAT ROSS GUY.

I have several "baloon head" cases that I keep just because they are an early link. Frank

That Ross guy knows his way around a Sixshooter far better than any one I know. Any way I got to shoot the gun today with much better results. 250 gr keith sized .431 over 9.5 gr HS 6 Avg Velocity was 903 fps My best group was 6 shots in 2.75 inches at 20 yards. Still got some room to improve but its lookin alot better. i think a trigger job would help alot these new rugers have a mile of creep. To be continued Mark

TAKE OFF ONE GRIP PANEL AND POP ONE SIDE OF THE TRIGGER RETURN SPRING OFF THE PEG. INSTANT TRIGGER JOB.

Darn I was waiting for a "who the hecks that Taffin feller"... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Might be a long wait. I've also done a trigger job on the Rugers by putting a slight dogleg bend in each arm of the trigger spring. Frank
