Mighty fine Axe,
I love Dustin's grips, not to mention John's guns. Of course I wouldn't turn down a couple (dozen) by Dustin either.
Bigbores, Out of curiosity. doe's your stainless have LCS stamped on the grip frame under the grip panel?

Nice 475 Axe. These guns are masterful powerhouses, for sure.

I won't be able to look anytime soon, its up at my new house.

If it does have LCS stamped on the grip frame under the grip, it will make the gun a bit more unique. That will mean that the grip frame and likely the hammer and trigger as well are actually made by Linebaugh and are not Ruger in origin. There weren't many of the Linebaugh stainless frames made.

Looks like I am on the verge of acquiring another 475L. It is one of Gary Reeder's products.. This one is a 5.5 inch blue Bisley with setback trigger and mongolian stag grips. It needs a Bowen rear sight and one of Ken O'Neill's patridge front blades. Will be a few weeks before we have it close enough for pictures... That will be plenty of time to have parts in hand to make the sight changes.

Time to take some new pictures of my John Linebaugh .475, but here are a couple of my BFR. And here's one taken before I went to a firm grip... ;D

Axehandle, is that Reeder a high polish blue , or is it some kind of black chrome finish?
Whatever it is , it sure looks great!

I believe the finish on the Ultimate Bisley is called "Black Chromex" It is my understanding that it is a proprietary blueing process of Reeder's.
