Did a search on it and couldn't find anything. Looks like Freedom Arms did file bankruptcy last November though. Wyoming court case 10-21370. Lets hope they keep the doors open.

Hate to hear it. They have maintained such a high standard. It will be hard to run the company as nothing but a business and still maintain the heart and soul of FA.

Didn't mean to be negative about the price. I want one, but find it hard to justify $2K to 3K for a NIB Premier, depending on options.

Hey tek, use to feel the same until I owned one. When you compare it to a custom running the same price it is easy to justify the cost.

I suspect that they have a tough time selling new 454's which is/was the core of their business. They are a dime a dozen on the used market at substantial discount and generally hardly shot. That leaves some rather specialized pieces that, few like us, appreciate. Tough times I suspect.

I hope they can make it, but times are tough for many gun companies. That said, the secondary FA market is ripe for the picking. I picked up a like new 6" M83 FG in .454 for less a grand last month. I sent it back to the factory and had them install black micarta grips & a .45 ACP cylinder, they still have great customer service. Today I picked up a like new 7 1/2" M97 in .357 w/ Silhouette Sights for $1200. It is truely a good time to add to your FA collection.

I agree with Boxhead. FA is almost a victim of their own success. If I wanted a 454 it would be used. By design they're built to withstand a thrashing and most folks rarely put more than a few hundred rounds of heavy stuff thru them before moving on. I sure hope we don't lose Freedom Arms. -Lee www.singleactions.com

I was thinking about putting an order in. Anyone bought any guns from FA in the last 6 months or so?

I just bought a new Model 83 Premier in .475 Linebaugh today from our local Freedom Arms prefered stocking dealer in Vancouver WA.

I wish they made a 97 Field Grade with Blk Micarta standard for around $1250.00. I think they'd have a renewed interest in their Excellent Products!
