Ronnie, you haven't mentioned how long the cylinder is. But, the GT 115 grn HP has no competition hunting. It's a tremendous performer... This one? I ordered some of them also. 😁 YES!!! Excellent Bullets...

I have taken one Pronghorn with the 135 gr Ferminator (sledgehammer) using my 8 shot Blackhawk. It was 5-6 years ago & is the only big game animal I've shot at with it. Antelope aren't very big but this was an impressive kill because it went down so fast, it only went 10-15 yds & dropped & I think I got an exit, not sure but Bill Fowler would know, he's got a memory like a dictionary. That bullet, even though it is a HP has a long shank & if it will fit your cylinder it will work on deer size game. My shot was 74 yds, iron sights & about 1300 fps using H110. Try them sized .313" & .314" just to be sure. Same with the Buckeye 32-20 if you have one. Another good bullet is the 113-115 gr GC HP, if you powder coat them you can make a dandy hunting bullet. I watched Matt Grabbe do a Rock Chuck at 154 yds with my 32-20 Buckeye a few years ago & he flipped it like a pancake. Dick I have a decent memory but good search skills: singleactions.proboards.com/thread/23288/revolver-pronghorn

Won’t fit in a Single Six, not in the S7 with 327 without deep seating bullets (it will fit in the S7 with 32 mag brass, just fit. I think it fit in the GP100 or FA in 327 brass though…

Guys, DO NOT put this load in a single six! first off that's a 32 magnum & I was using a full size stainless Blackhawk so I was not deep seating. These 8 shot guns have full size cylinders & so does my Buckeye 32-20. Never use someone else's loads without working up to it. I think a 32-20 & a 327 are very similar but the 32-20 will get you there with a little less pressure than the 327 with equal bullets & powder. Huey might chime in here, I might be wrong.

I have a converted ss to 327 and I have shot a few out of it I am NOT doing it any longer...My 8 shot Blackhawk and my GP100 yes and I have backed the load down..."SOME"

And then, there are several rifles out there that will duplicate loadings used in a full strength Blackhawk, at more velocity to boot.

Thanks! That is exactly the kind of personal experience I was looking for. I may have to try some of the factory loads too.

I would guess that the 115 gr Gold Dot would be one heck of a bullet for deer in the 327 or a 32-20. I don't think I've ever seen the 115's for sale but being a cast bullet shooter I'm not looking in the bullet isle very often.
