Come down one evening! You can handle the Powers version and the TLA version.

I asked about Colts because talking to the mold guys they asked the alloy I wanted. If I did it for a Colt, I would want the alloy to give a "correct" color in the blueing tanks.
I have a Bisley, and I guess I could get the steel in the gripframe analized and go from there. I type so damn slow ideas come to me before I am finished posting. You could bake a cake I type so slowly.
I have the outline from Elmers No. 5 grip some where.
The Colt Bisley is not my favotite, but maybe I haven't shot it enough.
Maybe I should get some different alloys, give some different HT and finishes and have them blued.
Thanks for jump startin' the brain kings6. I feel better.
And I think I have a solution to make gripframes fit Rugers better. It has bothered me for YEARS!
Have a good one.

If you're going to do the mold with inserts, to allow for variations in models ect. I've been thinking for awhile about a Ruger Bisley frame, with the toe having a bird's head profile. That could make for an interesting variation. The higher profile of the Bisley back strap, with a birds head toe would allow for more back strap in the hand.
The standard bird's head grip frame with the "ears" at the top never appealed to my hands. I'd bet I'm not alone in this with my large hands.
I understand that each insert adds to the mold cost, just a thought.

Depending on the price point, I would be interested in a Bisley grip frame in something other than steel or stainless. Titanium isn't a big "wow" for me but might be different enough to catch my attention. Brass...nah, got one already. Bronze... Keeping this thread in my "pay attention folder".
