Finished up one of my Texas Sidekick holsters and yet another set of grips (ironwood) for my 6” Freedom Arms M83 in .44 magnum.

Figured that while waiting on one of RW's hammers to come in, I'd do the final fitting on a stainless birdshead grip frame to my NM Single Six. And, as predicted, nothing is ever really flat.

Threw this together this morning before work. Been collecting parts for a while. Did a Bisley conversion on a 32H&R SSM I had laying around. Had grip frame plated in Nickle Boron. Fermin Garza front sight. Steel ejector rod housing w/ bullseye ejector rod. Reduced power spring kit.

A native Alaskan friend sent down a piece of pinniped material and asked me to make a set of grips for an old model Ruger XR-3 grip frame he has.

SO RANDY, MY CHEST RIG HOLSTER FROM YOU WILL WORK WITH THIS NEW SLING? SORT OF A "TANKER" STYLE RIG? I LIKE THE OPTION/VERSATILITY OF CHEST RIG/BANDOLIER RIG WITH THE SAME HOLSTER.

I worked getting three grip jobs shipped and started a set of one piece ivories for a USFA Double Eagle. This one is a challenge because I am trying to keep as much of the original contours for the outer surface of the grips. It was a good until I had to try and cut out the rough shape watching the tracing lines on the back of the grip while the rounded and inconsistent outer side rides on the bandsaw bed. About half way through the first panel I just about pulled my hair out and took it to the mill to machine a flat spot for it to ride on!
This was after taking the beast out for a 3 hour ride of trail clearing and wild blackberry eating!😆
