Serial number places it 1968-1969. Holster wear and aftermarket grips but virtually no other signs of use. While I prefer the cosmetics of the 27s, this 28s is just too nice to pass on. It will go home with me...

You don't have to worry about getting holster wear on it, since it already has character marks!

I had a Model 28-2 that I found too heavy. I did some lightening work on it and it now weighs 38 ounces. One of my favorites.

Probably one of my many quirks. While I do love a pristine S&W revolver strangely Model 10 and model 28 revolvers look incomplete and wasted without some honest holster wear. I guess I just cannot separate them from being duty guns to be put on a collecting pedestal. That one looks perfect and ready to rumble.

Good snag there Stan. And savin money on band aids so you can buy another. Always thinking ahead!

Like that duck tape? No wound to hide. Simply a case of trigger thumb. Tape makes it not pop when it moves. Doesn't hurt but I hate the feel. Hoping the immobilization will encourage it to get well without surgery. Tried skin tone light weight first aid tape but it was not stiff enough.

Real men use duct tape. I love my 28. Mine is in a little worse condition being a Kentucky Highway Patrol Officer's firearm I bought off him after a traffic stop. (Crazy way to make a new friend, I know.) He was NOT enthused they mandated the transfer to semi-autos.
