I had to send mine back to Ruger because of light primer strikes and failure to fire.........Joe What ammo? I had some factory Remington give me some misfires in mine, after examining, the shoulders were all soft, rounded off, whereas fired brass from the rifle shows a sharp defined shoulder.

If you like the heavier 250s, try some Alliant Power Pro 2000-MR. Top velocities and excellent accuracy, too. I get 2620 from a Nosler 250 Partition at normal pressures from my AI (74 gr capacity to the mouth).

I have been out of town. Yes, Ruger sent shipping label so it cost me nothing. All I used where reloads, and I had 4 different brass makes and 3 different primers and had miss fires with all.......Joe

Got a few add ons. I swapped the Ruger rear base with folding blade for New England Custom Gun Masterpiece rear. Its beautiful. Uses the 8-36 screw. This rear cannot use NECGs other inserts but this is probably my favorite anyway. Looking forward to using it. I had already swapped the front insert with a NECG green fiber optic one. I also bought one of their canvas Classic rifle slings. Its a beauty. Actually stamped GALCO. Has 2 silicone strips in the canvas for grip.

Be sure to have proper square ground screw driver tips. The windage screw binds up and requires a solid force to break over. Its not a target sight. More of a nicely adjustable set it and leave it adjustment. I appreciate the elevation adjustment that moves the blade up. Be careful with the 2 small screws that lock the blade down. The AlaskaArms qd rings were right back to my 2" high at 100yd zero. I appreciate highly quality parts.
