My 10” FA83 in 41, with the 260 grain cup point, GC, PC bullets
Is replacing the .454 FA as my “go to” 1500 pound and under critter getter, here and Africa. It’s going to receive extensive attention on the next HHI hunt. Should take about 20 African critters on that hunt.

Great read!
I have enjoyed the .41 Mag for many years now, My only complaint is how hard it is to find used ones at a "steal" of a price. I've quietly been watching out for a S&W 57 for a long time,, & none seem to be loose around here.
Other than a FA in a .41, I have all the others I desire. (Well, maybe,, I'm still missing a factory shipped brass framed OM Ruger.)

Back in the early 80’s i had an 8-3/8 smith 57, was a tack driver. Foolishly let it go. Then about 2010 or so, i bought a blackhawk 41, sent it to JRH, action job, BM pin, 4-5/8 octagon barrel, new front sight with replaceable blades, bowen rear, then had it hard chromed. Really love that 41.

41’s are my fave. Somehow missed this post. Great article!! I have a few 41’s. I’ve added a few since my last group pic from many years ago. I need to get them all together now and take an updated pic for you guys.
