Randy,….I don’t even want to try and count the ones taken with a bow, from 85-99 I did bows and guided bow hunters. So taking one with a bow so my “hunters” could have one to take home in case they were unlucky, was a normal thing. It would have been either a PSE or Hoyt compound early one or later Hoyt recurve or a Palmer recurve and Zwickey Deltas or Grizzly broadhead. That Ram 2500 is a bit overgunned though!!! Trapr

I have already beat two to death with a claw hammer and drowned one when I ran out of ammo in my Winchester 70 in 223 Remington.

Several years ago we had a serious pig problem on our lease and were encouraged to take as many as possible. The only double I tried was then and I had two 80 lb pigs line up perfectly at about 50 yards and I was using an Encore in .260 Rem with factory ammo. The first pig dropped to the shot and the 2nd pig went about 20 yards. Conditions were perfect and I would carefully consider it before doing it again.

Brother in law watched me beat my fist into the one I drowned before dragging it into a pond and sitting on it till it quit wiggling. For some reason we always got along really well after that.

Trey, that might be a story to keep to yourself as TPWD would, frown upon killing two pigs in that manner. A ticket or jail time might be in order for inappropriate taking or abuse of a wildlife resource……..just sayin’

What caliber was the hammer 16, 20, 22, or 28 oz? Inquiring minds want to know. Hope you keep it handy to use on the next cooter. LOL

Despite the problem we are expected to be held to a high level of respect for the lower creatures, as should be. Trapr

"If" I let them go I get a ticket for releasing invasive species into the wild. "If" I kill them with a hammer I get arrested for maybe cruelty to animals? I was walking a fence and they ran up to me. I wasn't hunting them with a hammer on purpose. Last I saw there was no law on Prohibited Weapons on hogs. That doesn't mean I know everything though. They sure dont have a problem letting peoples dogs tear them apart. Call it "training". I take your point though.

"Knockers" use a pneumatic hammer on cows and pigs, and pigs are gassed in a gas chamber.
So much more humane.

not wanting to sound like an outlaw- but im with you Trey. once you start, finish it. seems crueler to knock the snot out of one and let it run around in circles until it dies than take care of business.

I hope PETA aren't a member on this forum. People Eating Tasty Animal wouldn't like what they read. LOL Hey Trey they would have to PROVE you did it. I think that would be hard.
