I am probably mistaken, but I thought the one I saw was a pistol grip. I could be wrong though. Like I said, I dont know much about falling block Winchesters.

If it’s a 405, I’m pretty darned sure it doesn’t have a pistol grip but stock. Browning model 78s and low walls can but that .405 needs a high wall action.

Maybe it was so comfortable I just thought it did. I think I might have to go back and get it. I need more single shots in my life.
Anyone want to part with 50 or so brass or a die set?

Trey you should buy it before it's gone and you resent it.

.405 is a reason TO buy it, not a reason to not buy it.

The cost of loaded ammo IS a reason not to buy it. Probably why it is 400 dollars cheaper than a similar one in 30WCF. Doesn't mean I dont want it, but getting started will be expensive.

Trey there are jacketed bullets available and for sure pleanted of cast. Cast would be all you need I think . Perfect for shooting hogs. Shop around for dies. Grafs has Hornady dies for $66.99. Midsouth has RCBS for $65.87. Get some brass from Encore.

It's not expensive to load for. Some time back Midway had blemished bullets $11/50. I bought all they had and will last me forever.
Hornady 300 grn SP...
We took a #1 to Africa and it worked great...

I cast for the 41 Mag more than I cast for any other cartridge. I probably have 13 or 15 molds including the .411 Hammer, WFN 300 grain GC, and many many others. Hopefully after slugging the bore all I will need is a new sizing die.

The Ruger is pretty tight at .4105". I've shot 41 Magnum bullets over 4759 and 5744. Accuracy is great.
The TC Encore Barrel has never been fired. I suppose I should check it out.
Was a Gander Mountain purchase if I remember correctly.
