What's the best way to do this? I'm not finding great devices for > 45 caliber or 480/475 specific dies or case holders.
Alternatively, if anyone is set up to do the work already and would like to charge for the trimming service I'd be interested.

I think shipping in both directions would make it unprofitable? IMO getting a mini chop saw at harbor freight is less expensive and faster.
I posted pix of my mini saw setup.

Hopefully someone will chime in who has used this method but there is a guy on eBay who sells 3D printed case holders that couple with a harbor freight mini saw that allows for brass to be cut to just over trim length then trimmed with a case trimmer. I’m about to launch that journey, to start making 500 max brass from 50ak.
Edited to add: I see that has happened while I was typing 😅

Reports I read claimed the fixture was not a good solution.

I've used the 3-d printed fixtures before. They worked from okay to outstanding for me. Just look at the pics close and if it looks like junk, it usually is.

I attempted to use the .475 to .480 jig from Ebay and found that it was not sized properly. It was poorly packaged and was broken when I received it, had it not been broken it still would not have worked. When screwed into the holes as depicted the brass was not aligned properly. I messed with it hoping to find a way to make it work, in the end I gave up and kind of went the route that gnappi came up with. I cut the brass a little long, then finish it up with my RCBS trim pro II, has been working fine so far, I've done around 50 pieces of brass. www.harborfreight.com/2-in-mini-benchtop-cut-off-saw-62136.htmlProbably should wash my hands before picture time. .475LB cut to .480 length

I've been meaning to get that setup for 500 223 primed cases with split necks that need to become 300 BO rounds. With the rough cut on the 475 brass, I'd still need to clean I up using a traditional case trimmer.

With the rough cut on the 475 brass, I'd still need to clean I up using a traditional case trimmer. I just used a Lyman or Forster hand operated neck chamfer / deburring tool. My hand tools just barely make the width of the .480 case mouth but it worked enough to go through my stash of brass. For a .223 the Lyman type should have no issues. If I'm consistent with my chop method, I can keep the mouth pretty square so I don't true up the neck but that's all method related. I found that the saw blade can swing pretty wildly horizontally (tight tolerances not expected from a $39 tool) if I'm not cognizant of my method and the case mouth could need truing up if I willy nilly chop cases for speed. For the cost, maybe one of those 3D printed .223 case holders might work. They're pretty cheap and just may be worth it.

It looks like a kludge, well actually it is a kludge but it worked pretty darn good and good enough to insulate me from the brass issue. For the measly cost of the saw I can now chop away at other things I used to crab about :-)
I'd still buy another 1k 480 head stamped brass to support Starline and other .480 shooter's volumes needed for another run.
From the link above:
"If I were a mover and shaker at Ruger, I'd order a couple of million pieces of .480 brass and offer them for sale (at a profit of course) if for nothing else to have a glimmer of hope that the caliber doesn't die for lack of a commodity that should be available. But, the bean counters at Ruger would probably fire me for suggesting this. "
Quote off.
The .480 is THE reason I will not buy into a cartridge (like the .350 legend) that was developed without a parent. There's just about always another cartridge with close enough in flight and terminal ballistics to make a unique cartridge not needed... by me anyway.

42926, that’s the booth number of starline at shot show in Vegas next week. Anybody going ? Maybe try to pin them down with a little filmed interview of the status of the 480 Ruger. The I don’t know when, after numerous phone calls or emails seems not right.
