I wonder why RCBS, Lyman, or one of the other big reloading companies haven't come out with a 480 Ruger trim die? You know, the one you put in a single stage reloader and just trim the 475 Linebaugh cases to 480 Ruger length? This ain't rocket science! Instead, I'm stuck with a big revolver that I can't get cases for! Just wondering-------- The big reloading tool companies have already all but abandoned the .480. RCBS, Lee and Redding (not sure about Hornady) still offer reloading dies and shell holders, but that's about it. Lyman offers exactly zero support for the cartridge except for a bullet mold or two. No dies, nothing. I wouldn't be surprised if RCBS and Redding drop the dies in a year or so - or add them to their custom lists, at any rate.

Hornady still has 480/475 dies listed. Lyman only has sizer dies in stock.

Just wondering-------- C&H Tool has a .475 Trim die, I'd give them a call to see if the threads can to do a .480? www.chtoolanddie.com/calibers/475Lin1.4
