This is the gun that introduced me to 41 magnum and my love/obsession there after. Not a special deer by any means, but just one finally taken with my Grandfather's gun that was left to me. Smith 57 no dash, 190gr FTX and 19gr of w296. Gun will cloverleaf all day long.

That is special for sure and I hope the first of many more with that classic handgun. Nothing would please me more than for my grandson to take his first deer with a handgun I left him.

The gun and the hunt made it special. You will think back to it when you are enjoying those wonderful chicken fried back straps! Good job.

Gun guys are more sentimental than people think. It's one thing to get a deer, which is a proud moment by itself. It adds a whole new element when it's done with a gun abundant in heritage, history, and family. Good for you, pard.

Special deer and special revolver! When my son shot a deer this weekend with his Poppy’s shotgun that 3 generations have killed deer with, got a feeling can’t describe nothing like firearms with family ties!!

Every deer taken cleanly is special!
Every deer taken with a handgun is VERY special.
A deer taken with a handgun left to you by your Grandfather… well that’s just “OFF THE CHARTS” special.
And a great revolver it is..,, even without the history.
Congratulations and thanks for sharing. Hope it’s the first of many.

Nothing special my foot!!!!!!!! ANY handgun deer is special,, and you added the chocolate syrup & sprinkles to the ice cream there! NEVER be ashamed of any animal you hunt & kill if legal. KUDOS on using a special gun, in a caliber that's often overlooked, and doing it right!

Well, apparently I severely downplayed the significance of the kill, it means more than words to me, but apparently that's something that's felt further across the overall community as well.
Maybe I'll have a chance at a buck as the season goes on.
