About this time a year ago, I joined an infamous handgun hunter from Mississippi on a drive across the country to chase bears in Idaho. We hunted with an outfitter near Riggins where we would pursue the bears with dogs in the mornings and sit on baits in the evenings. The country was incredibly beautiful, but describing it as steep would be an understatement, and it was some mighty big country for an iron sighted revolver. The conditions were less than optimal, being warm, dry, even smoky from nearby wildfires. I was fortunate enough to have an opportunity to take a color phase bear the dogs treed on the second morning. I used my Super Blackhawk 44 with 240 Federal Fusions. At the first shot, the bear slumped lifeless across the limbs it was perched on, seemingly hung in the tree. A second raking shot sent her tumbling, not just from the tree, but rolling another 400 feet down the ridge till she hit a creek.( steep I tell ya) The Fusions did their job well We chased and treed more bears, but none took a bullet Additionally, grouse season was in, and I got some good eats with my Single Six This is of course, an abbreviated description of a great adventure in beautiful country with friends. I was just deeply satisfied to make meat in such big country with my revolvers.

And, a classic hat as well.
How did Kim's knives work on your game?
