I searched high and low and come up with nothing so far...
Obviously we all know his passion was big bullets but does anyone know if John ever worked on or made any custom. 22 Magnums?

I don't have near as many six guns as many here but a few years ago I ran across an ad for a Linbaugh .475. It was the most expensive firearm
I had bought up to that point. I had no need for it but wanted it so badly that I immediately hit the "buy" button. Haven't shot it much and for a long time I only had bullets(included with the gun) of 400+ gr.
I've since bought a mold for a 325 gr bullet. Haven't loaded any yet so don't know if my 82 year old hands can stand even that recoil. Nevertheless, I've got a piece of firearms history.

So I guess no one here knows of any 22 Magnuns that the John made?? I don't think you're going to find your answer by posting in this thread (but who knows, maybe you'll get lucky). I think you'd be better off making another thread asking for the information you seek. As to your question, the only 22 I've seen that came from John was a single six that sold on Guns International about 8-10 months ago. At the time a few here mentioned that John had tuned out a number of less-than-mainstream configurations over the years. They are still out there... somewhere... |
