I have a CCR and you can tighten the weapon down to meet any reasonable expectation of retention. You can turn the rig upside with the gun in and it won't fall out or budge. Lots of adjustment in that security screw. It almost goes without says if you try the drop test do it with an empty gun over a bed.

Just installed a tritium dot front sight and severe duty fixed rear on my 2 3/4 " today . Waiting for cylinder to get back from honing , then will be able to check sight regulation .

Just to keep this thread alive...
A local dealer just posted on his website he has a 4" 69 in stock. So I took the day off work. As luck would have it the gun sold before I got there. $850. But anyway...
Here is my 2.75" nicely in a Bianchi 111 Cyclone.

That is my kind of rig! Nice setup. I want a 69 so bad but finances and all... So easy to carry... lightweight. Smith has a winner with this one. Spent the afternoon at the range shooting 44s today. The 69 plays very nice with Skeeter loads and handles the 240 gr JHP just fine. Get one, you won't regret it.
