I TOO DISCOVERED THIS WORK LATE IN LIFE, A MUST HAVE FOR ANYONE THAT ACCUMULATES S&W's. I STARTED WITH THE 4th EDITION.

I bought one from Amazon for a friend who just bought his 1st revolver.
$51.79 brand new and it got delivered the next day.

The 1st edition i used to be able to reference at my library, it was great having access to it.
I'll probably buy the 4th.

...bought #1 when it came out and every time an update was announced I bought the next one... Have #1, #2 and #4 but recently gave #3 to a young man I've been mentoring who loves REVOLVERS and 1911s and nothing plastic...and he works for SIG... He loves S&W revolvers but wants a Ruger BH in .41 Magnum next.

I have the kindle digital version of the 4th edition. Very handy when I need to look up a s&w at a gun shop or show. It's an amazing resource of info.

The S&W edition sure makes the other Standard Catalog editions (Ruger, Colt etc.) seen inadequate.
The rest need to step up the game.
