I appreciate the response. All that said, I'll leave you with this: 1) I've only ever cleaned with Kroil and Butch's. Butch's has one of the highest ammonia contents on the market today 2) My borescope has never shown evidence of copper fouling. Even after firing 100 rounds over two yardages, the copper is minor at best and is immediately removed once cleaned. Post-cleaning, the bore is void of carbon or copper. At least optically, and I use a Hawkeye borescope. If the copper is in the pours of the steel, it sure as hell doesn't hurt performance (see #3 and #4). 3) I shot a 200 yard IBS match today and tied for the top score (took 2nd on the tie-breaker). This was with a James Lederer 1:18 twist tube in .30 Stingray. Round count is over 4,000. On the last target, I had some ammo to spare and put five shots into 0.277" at 200 yards. 4) Last week I won a 100 yard IBS match with a 1:18" Kreiger that has close to 3,000 rounds on it. As always, it has only been cleaned with Kroil and Butch's. 5) Kreiger's tech guy disagrees with your friend from Walther. I hardly ever see Walther barrels on the line. Conversely, the winners lists in both short and long range BR are full of Kreigers. Parting words - there's theory and the "keyboard". All I care about is the firing line. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"
