A few years back there was a 17-6 out front. Nice original gun with the exception of the rear sight being removed to make room for a scope mount. This one ended up going home with me. And there began the rear sight tale. First finding the right rear sight. I never knew there was such variation in the rear sight on the S&W revolvers. Then there was the little plunger and spring that make for the clicks in windage. Yikes! If you fool with these things Brownell's and Numrich are your friends. Thumb rest grips added at the end. All is well that ends well.
