Don't forget the new-ish super braid fishing lines.. Nothing made from that should go around your neck though. If you do a, clip to belt, an option.

cottonmouthwhipco.com/This is the site for the guy that made my lanyards, paracord and leather. Paracord was 30.00 and leather was 130.00, I'll get pics posted when I can, all said and done I really like the leather, but the paracord is probably more practical. Trapr

Looking forward to seeing what the whip guy whipped up. His whips look good.

130 ain't to bad when you consider labor and materials. Heck, I think I got 6 man hours in a 3' 6 plait over a 2mm core. The lace was 6' when I started so, I'm gonna try a 8 plait over a 4mm core so they be 22' at the start.

This is one that was made for a friend of a friend from Kangaroo by another bird dog whistle lanyard guy who does similar stuff to what Larry Smith at Knotsmith did. This is the only revolver lanyard he's done so far, but appears to be good work. To each their own, but I'll be going with a loop of some sort rather than dog chain hardware to be flopping and clanging around on my revolver. I also don't trust those clips as have had them fail on other things, but on a rubber gripped revolver something like that would likely be handy and probly not too noisy.

Thanks for posting the pics GB69. The leather is definitely dressier and looks nicer, however the paracord with that braid is bulkier around the neck and shoulder and easier to attach to the gun as well. It also would be a bit more impervious to mold and mildew, so I actually like it better for practicality. A brown or coyote tan color would hide dirt and stains better, but I liked the idea of a bright color in case a loss of the gun did occur at least something bright might help relocate it.

Trapr I'm a sucker for leather, and Kangaroo braided up right just keeps getting better with time. I'm going to make my own out of paracord first and figure out the fit and best way to use it in the field before I have a leather one made. That said, I like the braided paracord too, and it's good tough stuff.

Those are really cool! The leather one is awesome but I agree that the paracord is probably more practical. I got a book on doing that sort of thing but never actually tried it.
