Custom 480 Ruger by Tyler Gun Works

This is the gun that was for sale on the Ruger forums by our member Pacecars.  I picked it up today and like it a lot.  Here are the particulars...

The gun is a stainless Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley in .480 Ruger. The stainless frame and grip frame have been case colored by Tyler Gun Works.  It has a 5 1/2" blue steel octagon barrel by Ryan Cross and mammoth ivory grips by Scott Kolar.  It's unfired currently but that will change soon enough.  I don't think there is anything I don't like about it or would change.  I have other 475 Linebaughs but I love that it's a 480 Ruger.

I love the 2 tone and the CC effect on stainless. My first experience with CC on stainless.

I was shocked when Ronnie put this one up for sale. We'd discussed this one indepth when he was considering having the cylinder blackened.

I like the look as well. Got two coming from Clements this year that are blued with stainless cylinders.

I'm anxious to hear your reviews on this one...

What action is it built on?

I hated to sell it but it has gone to a good home where it will be enjoyed.

The 480 double rifle is built on a 28 ga shotgun frame. The 500 Linebaugh double I'm having built is on a Leeson 20 ga frame. I posted about the 480 here singleactions.proboards.com/thread/33494/480-ruger-double-rifle

My only salvation is one friend sold it to another friend. Stuff like that has got to stay in the family...
