I'm glad to see you got this unique gun and am looking forward to hearing how it shoots for you. You have been known to wring the best out of your guns so we expect nothing less with this one.

Man, that's about as cool as it gets! You can carry that afield and it'll be like having him along and he'll live on in the field through one of his guns. Very nice. Amen to that! You couldn't even look at without thinking about Skeeter.

Being a redhawk, you'll never wear it out. Shoot it as much as you want. I sure would!

I got to look at it closely last night. The guy that bought it when Sally sold the guns never shot it. They said he got it home and stuck it in a safe where it has been since His friend said he has tons of guns but never shoots. He is selling off a huge collection a few at a time. No telling what this guy has.

Great for you... Was thinking about bidding on it also but already have a .41 Redhawk and glad it will go to someone who will enjoy it...

Having shot the gun yesterday, I imagine it could be had for a plug nickel shortly.

At least Matt could see good enough to shoot it. My eyes are messed up after the last round of covid. What we could tell is that the gun is going to shoot. I am going to the eye doctor this week to see what is going on.

Look for any flame cutting in the top strap and any case head marks on the recoil shield. A good cleaning can’t hide that wear in a blued gun.

Fellers it will be a great honor to take Skeeter hunting with me. That is my plan anyway. it has been forever ago since I hunted New Mexico but I think I need to make it a priority to hunt mule deer or elk with it now. Of course Tennessee white tails and hogs are on the menu as well. It would be really awesome to get drawn for a TN elk and get it with Skeeter's gun.

I guess I should have came back and updated. Skeeters favorite .41 bullet was the 220 grain Speer half jacket. After I got my new glasses I loaded up some more of them. The gun is a shooter. I have taken it hunting a lot but haven't shot anything with it yet.

Good update. Skeeters guns are special to those of us who enjoyed his writings, his wisdom, and his choice of firearms. keep trying,, there's a special critter out there destined to fall to that gun.
