According to Jack the N frame .357 cylinder will work It should work fine. Ruger makes their Blackhawk 357 Magnum Cylinders shorter. Not so with S&W, FA, etc.

I have never seen a 610 without a full underlug barrel before? I have had three, a 3" pre-lock but MIM hammer and trigger which I sold, a NIB 5" which I kept, and a 6-1/2" which I shoot a lot and then foolishly sold, thinking the 5" was the one to keep. But, after starting to shoot it after owning it 10 years or so, I can't shoot anything much above a 40 S&W type-level load without the shells sticking in chambers, seems like cylinder holes are slightly tighter by my pin gauges than my Ruger's, but still "within spec" so will have to figure something out, I never, ever had the same issue with either of the other two 610s. Get in touch with Doug at Cylinder Hone. He uses a Sunnen to precision polish chambers. I usually just use his Facebook Cylinder Hone business page. He's good and has quick turnaround time.

I have had Doug fix several cylinders for me that I don't have Manson reamers, 41 Mag, and 500 S&W. When I asked him about my 10MM issue, he told me to fix it with a Brush Research cylinder brush, which I have used for touch up on rough chambers before but not undersized, I tried it and it fixed my problem, mine was just barely tighter than SAMMI specs according to Doug.

I spoke to Jack today and the cylinder is too short and it would entail a lot of work that would cost a lot of money so we are going to leave it with the one cylinder. He was also impressed with whoever did the checkering also
