I am going to send the cylinder to Pinnacle and rechamber it to 10mm magnum and then add a Holosun on a Weigand mini mount

That is quite the looker...do you know who did the work? I have never seen a standard Magnum barrel configuration before on a 10mm so I take it that was a 5" Classic that was contoured??? Or was it a special edition??

Sadly the original owner couldn’t recall who did the work. It was a 5 inch barrel that has been recontoured to the half lug

I dont mean to rain on the parade, but are those voids under the crane in the frame? Maybe a trick of a camera?

I dont mean to rain on the parade, but are those voids under the crane in the frame? Maybe a trick of a camera? I don’t know what it is in the photo. I picked it up today and that was the first thing I checked out. It is not visible under the flash light and I can’t feel anything with my finger or fingernail. I thought for sure it was at least machine marks but I can’t explain it

Then it probably is patch lint from being cleaned or something. Its a beautiful firearm.

I have never seen a 610 without a full underlug barrel before? I have had three, a 3" pre-lock but MIM hammer and trigger which I sold, a NIB 5" which I kept, and a 6-1/2" which I shoot a lot and then foolishly sold, thinking the 5" was the one to keep. But, after starting to shoot it after owning it 10 years or so, I can't shoot anything much above a 40 S&W type-level load without the shells sticking in chambers, seems like cylinder holes are slightly tighter by my pin gauges than my Ruger's, but still "within spec" so will have to figure something out, I never, ever had the same issue with either of the other two 610s.

The lug was machined down to the current profile. I just sent the cylinder off to Pinnacle Precision to have it reamed to 10mm Magnum and I ordered a new cylinder that I am going to have Gary Reeder convert to his .401 GNR
