38 Super in a G20? I could picture extractor issues. Of course my 9mm conversion barrels run fine in my 40s. How about 357 SIG in a G22/23/41?

On the idea of accurate 38 Supers.. Allen Fulford conspired with Jim Clark, back in the late 80s I believe, and built a bullseye (Pocket Pool to some) 38 Super. Allen loaded the Nosler 115 JHP with a charge of Vihtavuori. I've got the details written somewhere...

I'll tell you a pretty neat 38 Super pistol and that's a P-08 Luger chambered out to one. No other modifications of you're using the rimless new stuff they have the Super now. Don't even have to do anything to the magazine. Friend in Germany who lives and breathers luger (Gunsmith) put me on to it. It's a strong enough pistol too.

I have an old Skeeter Skelton article where Jim Clark built Sketter a .38 Super after becoming dissatisfied on the way that some Jack Rabbits were less than impressed with .45 ACP from a 1911.
There should be no extraction problem when using a 10mm breechface cut in extracting .38 Super or for 9mm... Had two Kimber Stainless Target IIs in Super and 10mm and Kimber only used one breechface cut. All the barrels interchanged. Sold the original 10mm with a Super and 9mm barrels to a friend in Idaho who fell in lust with one of my Supers when I was there last summer.
I have a G23 and G35 with .40, .357 and 9mm Conversion barrels and a G40 longslide 10mm with an extra .357 barrel...all shoot to the same POA at 20 yards...

Does the 38 super function using the 10mm G20 magazines? The video said it did but he hadn't verified that with actual shooting.

Does the 38 super function using the 10mm G20 magazines? The video said it did but he hadn't verified that with actual shooting. Never looked into it very deeply because by the time I read that barrels were available they had been discontinued. From what I did read those who had the barrels said that the magazine lips needed to be modified to properly align the round with the chamber...

I have waited for someone to talk about their EAA Tanfoglio Whitness 38 super,,, no-body??
A good friend left one to me, I am mostly a SA Revolver enthusiast, but my friend sure liked his pistols, and it has forced me to follow these sort of threads.
I have cleaned it & admired it, and now need to get out and shoot it, it is very smooth in the slide & DA.
We did shoot most of his pistols together, but this one was a total surprise, didn’t even know he owned it.

One of my best friends bought one back in the mid 1990s...
Excellent shooter but heavy for a carry gun.. I think the magazine held 18 rounds.
