for me... it was .410 shells... when they are back in stock & at somewhat normal prices... I am stocking up... 750 - 1000... will be buying some #9 shot for those pesky red pine squirrels... some 5-7 shot for general use, & some buck shot just because... but I got caught with only a box & a half on hand at the start of the shortage... had literally everything else covered... because of that, this summer I accumulated a bumper crop of the "crack rats" just waiting for the leaves to drop to fix that...

I've been loading my own 410 & 28ga shotshell's for 25+ years to offset their high cost & scarce availability...The only thing I wish I'd bought more of during the good years is 17 HMR ammo, I thought I had plenty, & really I have but I've still been using it sparingly as I'm NOT going to pay 2-3 times what I originally paid to replace it!

I found them on sale a few years ago and bought what amounts to a lifetime supply for me. 410 anyway.

Brass and primers for a caliber I didn't anticipate buying a gun for (454 Casull and small rifle primers). I'm OK with 45 Colt for it anyways though.

Didn't miss out on a thing. Actually was able to help a couple friends get started reloading using stuff from the supplies on hand.

Nil. In fact I was surprised to find 10K of various handgun primers at the place in north Idaho. That and 800 250 gr 44 Partitions...

I am really short on unique, less than a pound in stock but I don’t use that much. I could use a few pounds but not like an 8 pounder. Also some additional small pistol primers would be nice, I only used them in 38 special which I don’t shoot much of, until I got a hold of several thousand 45 acp brass with small primer pockets.
Everything else I am stocked to the max, 10s of thousands of primers and bullets, dozens of pounds of powder.

I probably have extra, ( more than I need )... not a rimfire fan much either, & I sold off a few 22 Mag guns, during my sell off... I think I only have one left, one of the Air Lite S&W J Frames... sold off 2 rifles, & my Automag 2... have several bricks of the Gold Dot short barrel, plus several bricks of the regular I think Federal ammo... ooops... totally forgot about the PMR-30 I didn't sell... but don't really shoot... better hang on to the ammo I have...
