Lumber, no doubt. Wife & I have been actively looking to purchase some ground to build a new compound but with real estate and lumber going crazy, we have backed-off for now. Keeping an eye out but not looking quite as hard.

Lumber is starting to come down "some". No where near the prices it used to be, but some.

It's the specific things, like Remington 6-1/2 primers or 25 caliber gas checks or whatever other little specific things.
I don't think I'm in any sort of jeopardy or anything like that but when things are thin or vacant on the stock list I find myself sitting back and waiting out the storm, to see how things look once the tide turns again.
When I have a load established with known-good component choices, changing the course typically means going back to load development. Load development uses up components, and when we're in shortage mode it never seems to feel like the right time to burn components on the trail to a new load.

I went and saw a friend of mine I haven't seen in about three years. When he lived across the street in my old neighborhood he would get some good guns every now and then. He had a pristine DW 6" 357, a handed down S&W 19, stuff like that. He also had a LOT of Aguila 22 ammo. He told me when he moved over to the beach he contacted a gun store around the corner and reached a deal for EVERYTHING. He probably had three thousand rounds of various types of Aguila. It's now sitting on that gun stores shelves for 11.95 a box of 50.

It’s been many years ago… but the local hardware store used to sell ammo, and after Cabelas moved in 30 miles down the road, they maintained inventory for a couple years… but the owner told me he wanted to quit selling ammo… I ended up buying everything, including several calibers I didn’t own… ended up getting me into selling at the local gun show…

.32 and .380 ACP ammo...in 2019 kept telling myself to buy a case of each and just forgot to do it...
