41freak- again, many thanks for getting these cataloged. Interesting that the drawing for the 505 gr 0.512" came in ad 540 grains. With 25:1 alloy, mine drop around 505 +/- a few grains. Either way, that's the bullet I designed. I hope some folks give it a try. It has done very well for me at 100 yards. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time" I will have to look @ the dimensions, I do see that he did it for clip on wheel weights and the drawing I sent was in linotype. Not sure if it would make that big of a difference, my drawing in linotype was 510gr. The other weird thing is the 41-290 was also submitted as linotype and he shows his drawing as clip on wheel weights and is 290gr the same as mine. I will be ordering one of the 41-290 molds this weekend and when I get it I will post pics of it and bullets from it. One last thing is if anyone does want it as close to your design they should order it cut for linotype.

...I do see that he did it for clip on wheel weights and the drawing I sent was in linotype. Not sure if it would make that big of a difference... I had Dan at Mountain Molds cut me one of Lee's 445-grain 475-caliber LFN designs on one of the last set of brass blocks that he had made up. I told him my alloy was going to be wheel weights plus 2 percent tin. When the mold came it was marked 460 grains. I was kinda surprised at the difference, and yet at the same time, not surprised at all. -Rod

I just received another work of art from Tom at Accurate Molds, it is of course one of Lee's designs, the 41-290gr. Looks like it will be a casting weekend. I also received 2 44 caliber molds of my own design for my Henry Big Boy X.

I finally got a chance to cast with the Lee Martin 290gr 41 caliber bullet and I have to admit they look great for the first casting with the new Accurate Molds mold. I will be coating them this week and can't wait to load some up and start load development in my Bisley 41 mag.

Glad to see others giving that bullet a try. I hope they fly as well for you as they have for me. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

In a thread on the 357 max, David Bradshaw mentioned if he was to use a 5.5" 357 max, it would be a 1:13 twist and have an RW GripFrames Bradshaw Bison bisley hunter finger groove grip frame and he would test a Bradshaw Martin 240gr bullet in it. Well that got the wheels turning so I drew up a 240gr version. I will need to do some measurements to verify it would work in the 357 max without bulging the case, but it looks great so far.

I went ahead and sent this 240gr version of the Bradshaw Martin 194gr 357 bullet to Tom at Accurate Molds and I did it in both PB and GC versions. They are listed as 36-250E and 36-250F. I also went ahead and ordered a 6 cavity mold with 3 cavities as the PB and 3 cavities as the GC, man is it a work of art. I got a chance to cast some up this morning and man do they look great. With my alloy that was in the pot both versions dropped at 243gr. I have to dig out my GC's so the GC version will weigh a tad more. I plan to coat these with a synthetic coating (not sure which one yet) I will plan to run them seated as Lee and David suggest over the top band. I also want to see if I could also load them in the 357 mag but loaded long crimped over one of the lower bands and see how they shoot out of my 357 Redhawk.

Was a .430 version of these designs drawn up? I kind of stall out at 44 mag and 45 ACP. I do have a four cavity LBT .452 220 gr LFN for the ACP, so I'm hot hurting there by any means, although something is .452 around 245-250 gr would be really appealing.
Thanks!

No I haven't drawn up any other calibers, I will talk to Lee for his suggestions but I think they will be heavier then 250gr.

Thanks for continuing to work with Tom and Lee on this.
If you look in the Accurate catalog it will denote Martin design in the description…..if it’s there, it’s there….

Thanks for continuing to work with Tom and Lee on this. If you look in the Accurate catalog it will denote Martin design in the description…..if it’s there, it’s there…. Whenever I submit any of Lee's designs to Tom I always ask that he denote it as a Lee Martin Design in the notes, but sometimes Tom doesn't. Which is why I list each one that gets cataloged in this thread, so everyone knows which are Lee's designs with Tom's catalog number.
