I just received the .475 Martin LFN mold from Tom at Accurate Molds, and it is a beautiful work of art, I almost hate to use it, but if I get home early enough tonight I will cast some up. Just looked in the catalog and don’t see it. What number?

All of these designs turned out heavier than planned. When I drew up the bullets, I had a specific nose length / total length ratio in mind. Sort of an LFN+. I used to cast a lot of linotype and the weights were calculated as such on Mountain Molds. Since then, I've switch to PC on 25:1 alloy. The weights are now coming in about 9% heavier than designed (lino compared to wheel weights, 25:1, or similar composition). Which is confirmed by the Accurate Molds catalog. The above bullet is 445 on lino and 475 with wheel weights (~9%). -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

I finally got a chance to cast with the new Lee Martin .475 LFN mold and they are beautiful. With the lead in my pot the weight as cast is 458gr, so if you cast with linotype they will be close to the 445gr that Lee designed.

Hope they shoot as well for you as they have for me. Keep up posted. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

I just saw Lee’s post on his .480 project along with the 370gr bullet of his design.
I know nobody has anything else to do but make me happy but I’d sure like to see that 475 light design sent to Accurate for inclusion in their catalog!
Is Tom even still associated with the company?

Bushog, it is your lucky day.... Lee is going to get me the dimensions and I will draw it up and submit it to Accurate Molds. I don't think Tom is still there, I recently sent in a drawing and a Daniel Croft added it to the catalog. I can't wait to get my new mold and as soon as I submit Lee's 370gr bullet I will be ordering one of them as well.
