Ronnie, One of your triggers is a David Clements' Old Model Conversion Style. The description says it has a "New Model Spring Return Nipple on back of trigger for use with New Model Grip Frames.” Does this trigger/NM grip frame combo preserve the Old Model (4 click) lockwork, and work with your Old Model hammers? Any grip frame modifications needed? Other pros and cons, for example, difficult assembly? Thanks for making these! Art Yes absolutely! The David Clements design was Brilliantly engineered! It allows you to use the new model grip frames and the new model trigger return spring and pin apparatus. David feels as if the new model spring return is easier to TUNE and that is one man, even with my 40 plus years of doing this i would not argue with! The Hammer is exactly the same as an old model with a step for fire pin clearance and a half cock position to allow loading. It works great. The RW design uses the old model push plunger spring for trigger return for those of us that like the feel and i guess for the purest in some of us. I guess it really doesn't matter because we are upgrading the dam thing anyway huh? hahahaha. However when Mr Clements designed these, yall didn't have two hundred different grip frame options like you do now! Now we have the same bisley style grip frames available for the old model as well, Bisley OM, PJRB Om, 4 degree OM, bison Hunter OM, Bear skinner OM, Bradshaw OM, Kaytod OM, etc, etc, Keith # 5 OM, Super blackhawks in various lengths with hunter , dragoon, or Bisley trigger guard! The list goes on and on! So its just a matter of which grip frame you want to use there Ramar! New or Old!

Ron, Can the OM hammers be done in stainless? I am about to order five hammers (2 OA, 3 OM) and two triggers, hopefully all in stainless. Hey RatCat, how are ya bud? You Betcha man, The old Armys come in ss or blued steel. How ever the standard blackhawks are all in blued steel cuz they were all made in 4140 before 73. ( Old Models) However if you had an old model coated in nickel or something stainlessie ( wonder if thats a real word) like a coating it would probably look more appropriate with a stainless hammer and trigger wouldnt it. So with that being said , HELL YA I CAN MAKE IT OUT OF STAINLESS FOR YOU MAN! Ill make em out of hastaloy if you want it. Or maybe some moon rock or oh, oh, i Know how about meteorite. That would be Cool huh! I have some really badass Damascus that is manufactured for crazy knife stuff im going to play with. You Know me John, ill try anything that i think is cool. I think if the Damascus is as hard as they say it is it will make a neat looking hammer huh? R

Plunked-down deposits on an OMSS Bisley fat-back hump hammer and an OM wide smooth trigger. Hot damn, been waiting for this day for a few years now.
Thanks for the heads-up text yesterday Fermin, been away from the site for a few days as work has been a little crazy lately. I am alive and well buddy.

So many projects, so many options. Ronnie you’re not making it easy on a guy to choose with all these options! Deposit placed on hammer and trigger to start my next project.

Really enjoyed talking to Fermin & Ronnie the other day. It's great to talk shop with folks that really "get it" and are super friendly to boot.

Great news to find the link. Hammer mods are high on my list. Do you know if first gen Colt hammers are available?

Please message me your contact information so I can keep you updated. Order in!! Great talking to you Ronnie (and Michael too). too....much....choice.... I have a couple late medium frame OMs which I simply wanted to convert to XR3 grip frames - now I need to order hammers (and triggers???) to fit the grip frames? and then you throw Colt in to wrinkle the whole deal...

I went to the website and ordered another hammer to go on a project I'm putting together... and that 3rd hand miracle tool, too. I can do basic mechanical remove and replace parts type things, but that tool looks like a lifesaver and will save me being struck by lightning for cussing too much. And, thanks for the early morning chat, Ronnie. I sure appreciate all you're doing here! Looks like a PJ Jr. brassie is in the works, now too.
