I'm not one to take resale into consideration when it comes to guns, but I took a shellacking on the last 38/40 I sold. A USFA/Turnbull 7.5" 3/4 engraved gun with ivory Persinger stocks NIB went for about $2200 or so. Hell, I took a shellacking on a really nice .41 magnum Hamilton built for me. I shouldn't have sold that gun... It was a good reminder that what is popular on this forum with maybe 50 people on-board may not be that way in the real world. The .41 Special is a good example. Lotsa' people talk but when the money comes into it...crickets. An update on my previous comment: I've had an awesome Clements built .41 special for sale for a god price (at least fair) for weeks now and only one nibble but they want to trade a gun which I'm not particularly interested in. There are worse guns to keep...
