Then there is meplat and ogive. Yep I struggled with O-give, I learned everything through reading, wasnt until YouTube and other media that I heard O-jive, it still sounds wrong to me when I hear it. What about Meplat (meh-plat)?

The OP is trying to sell a Mag-Na-Port Tomahawk. Someone needs to intervene, and purchase it.

All that stuff is easy. But knowing how to pronounce Jon, Jan, and Jannie ... now that's a head scratcher.

Ahh,, the wonderful world of slang, accents, & pronunciation. Throw in the often heard; "Well, that's what my Daddy called it" attitude,, and you can get all KINDS of incorrect words. (Including some we can't say here or in good company!) I'll admit to having pronounced things wrong in the past,, and maybe even now occasionally. BUT,, upon learning the CORRECT pronunciation I do try & correct myself. (Psst! Wanna have some fun? Went to a gun show this past weekend with Miss Penny. A guy called a magazine a "clip" and I just stepped back to watch! She asked him if he thought she was stupid? He said; "No". She then said the correct term was magazine,,,, and to have people use the wrong term makes them look uneducated. She also said that being a woman, and if she did that, an educated gun person may look upon her as uneducated." I love to watch her get riled a bit about guns, AND let others know she's a bit more educated than most ladies. Always a fun thing to watch!)

Too bad they don't make a sleeve like a shotgun choke you can screw in and out to either use ports or not. I had two ported handguns...had.

Getting back to the OP...I really can't comprehend why anyone would want to do that to a nice MNP custom? If you don't like it as is, SELL it & get what you want! A MNP Tomahawk will bring a premium over what a standard SBH replacement will cost anyway...So it's a Win-Win situation in my viewpoint.

I shoot a lot of lead and most days i will shoot around 100 or more . The Tomahawk has a 4.5/8 barrel so the front sight is on top of the porting make it hard to find after 10/12 rounds .
