Looking to find a Gunsmith or Shop to do a Barrel replacement . I need a new Barrel the problem is the one i have is ported . I really dislike the Mag-Na-port on/in the Barrel but like the Ruger .
Any one know a Gunsmith that will do this and not take a year to get it back .

That should be pretty basic work. If you can find a take off barrel you should be able to find someone within driving distance to screw it in for you and make sure everything fits. Otherwise the shipping in going to cost you more than the job.

One more Little Problem the Ruger is done in Hard Chrome . I really do not care if the replacement Barrel is blued or Coated or what i just need the porting gone .

Have the barrel turned and sent to Mahovski for chrome. They do amazing work and the price is right. They did all of SSK work etc. what caliber is your gun?

I HAVE MANY REVOLVERS (RUGER, FA AND S&W) AND SOME T/C BARRELS MNP'ed. ALL MY FA MODEL 83 ARE MNP'ed. THE ONLY MNP'ing I DID NOT CARE FOR IS ON A 7 1/2 INCH RUGER 45 COLT BISLEY WHERE THE MNP'ing CHANGED THE DYNAMICS OF THE RECOIL AND CREATED SOME KNUCKLE BUSTING ISSUES FOR ME.
TO BANGER, THE OP'er: WHY DON'T YOU LIKE THE MNP'ing?

I had this Ruger sold but had a problem with payment it is a Ruger Super Blackhawk Tomahawk less then 200 built by Mag-Na-Port . If i can not sell it i will have it fixed and shoot it .

BANGER: MNP'ing AND RED RAMP FS's SOMETIMES DON'T SEEM TO MIX WELL AS THE STUFF THAT BLOWS OUT OF THE MNP's MAY OBSCURE THE RED RAMP INSERT. RECENTLY I ACQUIRED A MNP'ed S# MODEL 27 WITH A RRFS AND HAD THAT ISSUE, SO I ORDERED A PARTRIDGE FS AND REPLACED THE RRFS, PROBLEM SOLVED.

Cut the muzzle off & re-crown, add new sight?
Guess it depends upon barrel length & taper.

Does powder coating make any difference or is this from the powder gasses? I don't own a MNP gun, so just curious.

WAIT 'TIL THAT "PARTRIDGE" GETS HIT BY THE GASES--THAT WILL BE ONE ANGRY BIRD!
