So... I found some of the Single Six .32 H&Rs on sale recently (they are giving them away IMO) and picked up a couple. I've had a S&W K22 barrel that is rebored for a .327 (1:18 twist) for quite a while now and it's time to be sent off for a linebored .327 Federal build. I'm wanting a 7 1/2" barrel but I'm thinking the barrel may be too heavy and proportionally funny lookin' on the Single Six frame. I did some creative fixin' up of some photos to see what it might look like with a 7 1/2" S&W barrel. Did a 6 1/2" mock up too. Honestly it's pouring outside and I don't want to do anything useful so I've been piddlin.... What do you think? 6 1/2" 7 1/2"

Skip the 327 and go to the 32-20! Oh Robb.....a .32-20 won't fit in a Single Six if I use my preferred smith. You know this.... And....I've got a .32-20 built on an OM .357 frame already....

I had Jack Huntington build me a Single Five in 25-20.
Currently waiting on it's little sister, a JRH Single Five in 218 Bee. Maybe a month or two max.
Seriously considering completing the trio in 32-20.
The 32-20 in a strong five shot gun would crowd 357 Magnum power.

We all have our picks and he certainly builds great guns.
And I'm the last one to knock the 327 Federal. Have 8 revolvers and two rifles in it.
Exploring options 😁😁😁

7.5" all the way. Mine's a work in progress, I'm waiting on a Bowen rear & I'll whittle out a Partridge front on my milling machine...Hope to get it all finished up while I'm off the next few weeks. Also, + 1 on the shoes!

...a vote here for the 6.5".... Found a custom length Freedom Arms 97 with a 6.5" barrel while trying to decide between a 5.5 and 7.5" Single-Seven... Like GoldieLocks said...it's just right.... ...and that ribbed barrel REALLY LOOKS SHARP!! Bob With a 7.5" .30 Carbine... With a 4.25" 97/.327...
