I've got a 6 1/2 single six that has always felt awkward. Needs to be either shorter or longer. I have been tempted many times to get it bobbed but it just shoots so dang good....
I think that 7 1/2 S&W barrel would be great.

That's some dang pretty hardware, you guys are killing me & I have several myself! I love it when somebody else says "Partridge" sight besides me..... That's the way it should be. That 327 on the 357 flat top blackhawk, yikes, love it.

I voted for the 6-1/2", but if it were me, I'd really do a 5-1/2". Easier packing, but still enough for velocity.😉

Well at the point you get to 6 1/2” it is a bit long and ungainly for my tastes anyways so you might as well go the full 7 1/2” at that point. Get a cross draw holster from Barranti and 7 1/2” will carry just as well as a 6 1/2”...

It feels strange to not have “ a next project” in mind. For the first time in years I am not searching for the next base gun for a project to send off. I guess at my age I’ve kind of “ checked the boxes” in what I envisioned as guns I’d like to have built. While there are still a few out there at some shops getting wrapped up I’m not sure if anymore custom builds are in the future at this time. I think it will be more focusing on load development and actual shooting the few that are here in the future and even more fine tuning and paring down the ones in the safe once I get to spend more time behind the trigger.

I'm failing miserably at the same thing. I'm surprised the poll is as close as it is...

I was talking to a very good friend recently and we were discussing gun safes. I mentioned that I intentionally have only bought one decent sized safe simply because it helps me keep some semblance of self control in my gun life. If there are no more slots in the safe then it makes me adhere to the “ GIGO” principle. Gun In then there has to be a Gun Out. Not saying this is the best way but for me it keeps me much more intentional in my gun world.

buying safes help prop up the economy Robb, you're being selfish.

By any and all means, get another one. Myself, I have the 3 1/2" bird's head S7 for Sunday go-to-meetin', weddings, funerals, opera, going to town for mail, etc; the 4 5/8" S7 is actually my EDC around the ranch here. In my mind, it is, finally, The Perfect Trail Gun, after more than fifty years of searching; the 7 1/2" S7 goes in a shoulder holster during hunting season (or a full flap cavalry holster in high waist mount), along with the Marlin 1894CB in .327 (thanks, RPP)on the other shoulder. Deer, antelope, close range elk and the like (I live in the heart of their winter range, not unusual to have twenty yard shots right out the door). I know what you mean about acquiring another .327...now they have that blued Bisley, the diabolical designers. They've ALWAYS had my wallet in their sights, and quite accurately, I must say. Rossi is really missing the boat here...seems to me the M92 Winchester and clones is an ideal platform for the .327. Now, don't take this anything like enabling or coercion or anything like that. I just realize it's been over a week since I got a new revolver (Uberti Stallion .38 Target, aka The Smart Man's New Frontier) and I got to pondering that 5 1/2" Bisley, and the fact that I do not have a 5 1/2" handgun anything, despite a wide variety in the safes (oops, just remembered the Uberti is 5 1/2", so can't use that excuse anymore...). Let's see...give me a minute, I'll come up with something...
