Reeder had made if I recall, aluminum Bisley frames years ago ,no patent problems. He also manufactured recently #5 grip frames. Reeders #5 grip frames give a little more knuckle clearance than Ron Power’s version, so they didn’t just copy Power’s model. Power’s #5 is based on a tracing of keith’s Gun. I don’t know about Ruger’s GF shapes, but I certainly don’t see how one could patent the original #5 shape. I wonder if it is not the shape, but the way the springs/strut is attached that is patentable?

I’m really excited about the aluminum Bisley and #5’s. Would love to see aluminum NM XR3’s, as well. I don’t care for brass grip frames, but that Beryllium copper GF is super!

Ronnie, Thanks for posting so many of your grip frames, revolvers, and pictures of your other life. Looks like you’ve already generated lots of interest. Me too...Bisley frames with large finger relief in brass and steel for old models. Hope to hear more soon.

Any information on availability and pricing?
Is titanium an option?

Ya'll, Ronnie is a high energy go-getter who has been-there done-that and has been a gun nut and making his own customs for decades. He's got facilities and the talent for so much more than grip frames. The range of frames already programmed and ready for production is insane. So many combinations of NM, OM, narrow trigger, wide trigger, trigger guard variations, grip style variations including standard Bisley, No 5, and modifications thereof in brass or aluminum. We've just gotta have some patience on the business/customer interface side- website, phone line, payment methods, etc as I'm sure y'all can understand.

Ronnie, will you be be making old model bisley hammers and triggers to go along with the the old model grip frames? I’d certainly be interested in those as well. Power Custom turns out an old model Bisley hammer, but I understand that some smiths have concerns about color case hardening them because they are harder than wood pecker lips. Just curious.

These will be great parts to have available. Luckily there both a brass bisley and a brass birds head already at Zane’s getting nice wood fit or I’d be getting in line too.
