Lever loading I loaded up some additional 460 S&W with 335 LBTs for testing in the Big Horn 460. 45~70 and 348 just for comparison as they were both loaded not that long ago. Out of the other two Big Horn rifles the LBTs are the clear winner between that and XTP mags.

I've never owned a horse but I've traded a few. Traded into these 194's, my Lee seater changes the nose profile.

Loaded up some .38 special 148 gr w c and some 158 gr s w c over 4.6 gr of Unique. Wanted to try some HS6 too but could never get consistent weights from the Lyman 55 powder measure so used all Unique. Unloaded most of them today thru a Taurus ultra lite 2 1/2 in and a 4 in Rossi .357.

More 45-70 for our club's Buffalo Match. Rim Rock .459" 405 gr, 24 grains of Accurate 5744, Starline, R-P and WW brass, WLP. This load worked well enough for a 3rd place in our last match.

Now that I'm no longer bereft of .44 mag brass due to some GR8 folks here AND Starline making a batch of .44 mag, I've been busy working up loads for the 200 and 240 Hornady JHP's and Red Dot. I got an 8 pound keg of the stuff for less than $50 and I'm glad I saved all of those old gunshow give away pamphlets :-) Red dot charges are far less than the charge weight I used of Blue dot to get within 100 fps of my hotter Blue dot loads. I finally mounted my powder trickler on an aluminum block so I can more easily weigh my charges spot on. One of my fairly modern Dillon measures is throwing some wacky charges, gotta look into that. :-(

I got 100 Lapua 308 cases sized and partially trimmed to length. I am taking the S-I-L on an antelope hunt a year from now and he has a new Model 700 he had never shot yet so I brought it home on the last trip out there and will develop a decent load with either 150 Partitions or 180 Accubonds for him to use on the hunt.

Don’t overlook a good 165gr. as a compromise weight. It tends to perform better external ballistics wise than the 150gr. and provides a better trajectory than the 180gr. Plus it makes a great all around load, 165’s will do everything for a 308 from deer to moose, just select a proper 165 for the job. Trapr

I do have a large assortment of other bullets tucked behind the Noslers so I’ll see what is back there.

Worked up a mess of 6.5 Grendel 123 gr SSTs. One of my favorite cartridges to load and shoot.
