Milt Morrison had developed a switch barrel system, but I never have seen one. Interesting piece. How's it shoot?

Not a Milt Morrison from what I know about him. Tried to contact him about his system and he never responded. To me it looks like a late Ray Herriott of Centaur Systems or one Dad did because originally Ray did NOT blend the weld of the barrel and the lug. That was something Dad incorporated after meeting Ray. Did you get the tools?

No tools and I have not had a chance to shoot it yet.

Richard Mccann made a switch barrel conversion, the one I saw didn't look like what you have. Very nice looking gun, I hope you will let us know how it shoots?

I like that.....I like that a lot. Clean looking convertible and whoever did the work did a nice job. The more I look at it Mike, I'd keep the 45 Win Mag and maybe have a third cylinder built in Colt. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Bigbones - For sure, I will advise how it shoots.
Lee - I have read some stuff about the Win Mag and wasn't sure if I wanted to get into the round or maybe try to re-chamber it for 45 LC.
Bloodhound - Thanks for the link on this sale again. If I remember correctly they told me $650 on it last time, and I did not pay what they had it listed for this time either. As for the pics, I thought I would try a new back drop... You like?

Very intriguing and a very good looking sixgun, Hyvltge. The contrasting hammer and ERH are nice touches.
Can you explain to us the barrel swap is executed? It appears as if there is some sort of housing welded to the bottom of each barrel where the head of the basepin would normally reside when fully assembled? I'm assuming there is some sort of locking mechanism inside that housing that secures the bbl to the frame, but that's just a guess. Hopefully, one of today's smiths will be able to provide the missing tools to allow you to fully utilize your new revolver.
Best of luck, Max.
P.S. Is it my imagination, or is the finish on that gun REALLY shiny and deep?

That's pretty neat, congrats! Now you need a switch barrel Seville (or was that El Dorado?) to match. ;D

Sure, just remove the ejector rod and housing and then unscrew the base pin (there is a threaded piece on the end that has an allen head). Once those are removed you just unscrew the barrel. Really a great system in my opinion. It appears to be refinished as well. I would like to know who did it.
