I've been a Glock fan since I bought my first Gen1 G21 several years ago, but lately I'm an S&W M&P fan. I have the full sized in .45 ACP as well as .40 S&W, and my daily carry gun is an S&W Performance Center Shield in .40 S&W. I still love my G20 and G40 MOS, but the M&P grip feels really good in my hands. If they ever make an M&P in 10mm, the Glocks may be in trouble !

I have recently bought a Shield 2.0 and really like it as my EDC gun.

Well I finally decided. The S&W M&P just felt right. Thin, high capacity and sights right on when snapped into shooting position. Surprisingly 1911 like. THEN a buddy recommended the SD9Ve... a stainless slide version of their cheaper-than-M&P option and it felt great too and at $150 less I chose it.
Now 1st, the trigger is NOT good so before even shooting it I ordered an Apex trigger kit and disassembled it to polish some mating surfaces. It needed it...the grittiness was obvious. Stock trigger pull was right at 9 pounds. Now the funny part...you've heard of working the bugs out of anything, right? Well imagine my surprise when I removed the slide and inside the frame there was a tiny moth!
1st for me. The grittiness is totally gone now, but still too stiff. I will of course give an update/shooting report once I get the trigger kit (non hinged trigger and springs) and get to the range

Like all Glocks & most sigs, I did not care for the feel of the 365. I couldn't care less what all the Ninjas think. They have all been Glock fanboys forever and I still don't like them either.

Okie Dokie.... FWIW my opinion of the S&W product line is a carry over from the original 39/59. Like them better than I once did but I don't buy them.

Another fan here of the Springfield XDS if you are looking for a thin pistol that feels like a 1911. All of mine are the original design and I can't speak to the new style, but the first iterations are very thin, flat, and almost modular with a number of choices in magazine length/capacity. I also found them to demonstrate a very high level of achievable accuracy. The little .45's, in particular, will hit things at distances that rival a full-size service pistol.

Finally had a chance to install new Apex trigger & spring kit. Much lighter pull. Down to around 5-5.5lbs. But imagine my surprise (again) when put back together, racked the slide and pulled the trigger. Nothing. I mean no click. Did it several times. Finally figured out it was the new trigger. The little shelf on the back was bottoming out on the frame.
About 30 minutes with some tiny files fixed it. Isn't real pretty, but it now functions like it should. The trigger is still not great - this is no 1911 - but it is far better than it was and leagues ahead of my long time pocket 9mm Kel Tec P11.
Now I have a plastic fantastic and can move on.

SIG 365.... 10 rounds... Feels good.. I would say the 365 is the worst feeling semi auto I've ever held. I handled one at a show and was so disappointed in how it felt. I mean, I wasn't going to buy one anyway, but I was shocked at how terribly it fit me. My friend was a with me and he liked it. I think he's since bought one. Funny how "feel" works though, it doesn't alway equal success. The small frame (9mm/40S&W) M&P might be the best feeling plastic pistol I've ever shot. It fits my hand like it was formed to my grip. BUT... I can't shoot one for crap. I gave up trying and sold the one I had. Bummer. The large frame 45 doesn't feel nearly as good, but I shoot that just fine.

The Kahr PM9 and other from that company are excellent shooting guns. I use the PM9 and K9 every now and then. Their guns are very well made. The TP9 would be very close to the grip feel of a 1911, with the trigger of a good DA revolver. Some don't like them, but I'll take a S&W SD9 over any of the other plastic framed striker fired 9mms. I have three of them, zero complaints, and I don't tolerate malfunctions or problems from these guns. I consider this category of guns to be tools, almost disposable tools.

Great little companion: Kahr CW45 6 rounds of 45ACP. Nestled in a Don Hume JIT rig and a 6 shot mag along for the ride in a Lobo Gunleather magazine pouch. Much more comfortable than an XDS to shoot, 6lb pound DA type trigger pull. Meprolight front night sight. Gun and ammo pushing the scales at 20ozs.

Here's my summer plastic, a CM9 Kahr. 7 Shots of 9mm same size as a J frame. 16 ozs great sights and a quick reload of 8 rds. Use a CW9 extended mag for reload.

I've never fondled a Kahr, but for a little 9mm I really like my Ruger LC9s. For my EDC, I was torn between the SR9C & the G26. I really liked the SR9C, but I shot the baby Glock better, so the choice was easy for me.
I've been wanting a duty size 9mm to wear a light & an optic for nightstand & range toy duty. Being a nerd for platform & ammo commonality, I bought a Gen5 G34 & a Vortex Venom. Haven't gotten it to the range yet, but the trigger feels pretty decent for a Glock & it feels really good in the hand. Nice balance. Was also considering a G17L, but the Gen5 frame fit my hand much better the 17L's Gen3 frame.
Shot a friend's G40MOS with RMR & liked it a bunch. Pretty soft shooting, even with Buffalo Bore type loads. Grip's a little big for my taste, but certainly a fun, hard hitting gun.
BTW- no Glock fan boy, here. I don't particularly care for the ugly things, but they are very effective tools.

A Kahr T9 would as mentioned above, fit the bill better than anything else mentioned. Luck.
