Still don't like them. IMHO they are nasty tools with no souls. Much like the one time use tools you pick up at harbor Freight. The G40 just amplifies the extra size aspects of the G20 and 21. The G41 seems svelt in comparison.

Most of my Glocks have Taran or Warren/Sevigny rear sights with front sight blades by Dawson Precision. My Glock 17L has a Bomar Rear Sight and my Glock 22 has Heinie Night Sights. All have Vanek Classic Trigger kits except my Glock 22 (it's only trigger mod is a Glock 3.5 pound connector - my house gun).
I caught plastic fever in November and sent my Glock 34 to Taran Tactical for their Combat Master Conversion, should be ready around March. Should look like this except for the sights (Sevigny/Dawson combination).
Lord... what happened to that young fella who was content with a Ruger Blackhawk?

Warren/Sevigny and Dawson sights, Lone Wolf and some KKM barrels both w/threaded muzzles. I like to use suppressors for home defense. I am in the process of adding red dot sights and lights.

For some reason I can't seem to get rid of Glocks. I've sworn them off probably a half a dozen times now and next thing you know I end up with another one. I've always pretty much left them stock except for a front night sight and a smooth faced trigger. Got a 19 now and it's trying real hard to get me to bring home a 34 as a big brother.

All my glocks are longslides, I always use aftermarket barrels since I mainly shoot lead.
17l - with alphawolf threaded barrel and 2 port compensator
24 - with stock length lone wolf barrel, awaiting a threaded barrel.
20L - made before the g40 came out, lone wolf stainless slide, alphawolf 10mm threaded barrel with 4 port compensator.
21L - lone wolf stainless slide, lone wolf threaded barrel and 5 port comp. Used to shoot 45s at beyond 460 Rowland levels.
I like conversion barrels too!
6" 9mm g20 barrel - shoot 9mm loaded to 1.280" 180gr at 1300fps!
6" 357 sig g20 barrel load to 1.280" 180gr bullet at almost 1500fps!
6" 40sw g20 barrel, load to 1.280" 10mm ballistics with cheap brass
6" 9mm g20 barrel converted to 38/45 for use in g21. Turned barrel shank down and threaded to run a cone compensator similar to 1911. Loaded to 38 casull specs. 125gr bullet at 2000fps!

I upgraded to the Sig P320. I ordered one today, Fermin... the new batch has better triggers than the ones I handled before the "recall." Checked in some in FDE, too... one in .40 and the other 2 in 9mm. One of the 9mm's had - I swear it - a 3# trigger pull with virtually no take up or creep.

FWIW There will be no Gen 5 guns at my house. The Gen 5 gun have a coil spring slide stop and the trigger return spring attached to a piece that hooks over the front of the crucifix. These two things were incorporated in the G42 and G43 and have failed multiple times in our range guns. The range guns get shot a lot, But... the G19/G26/G23/G27/G21/G30 on the range for literally years longer have never failed.
...and when I tried to mount the RMR on my G40 with the threaded Lone Wolf barrel I found that all those plates and screws provided with the gun woould not mount the Trijicon red dot. Looked at Trijicon's web sight and saw that they knew it... $20 for shorter screws and another $10 to ship. Ordered and paid for 8 days ago and still not received. This RMR and screws are the last Trijicon products that will come to my house.

The Glock trigger return spring, no matter what generation is the weak link in the chain. I've seen 6 or 8 minimum break in matches.

I've only got two, a G3-19 and a G3-20SF. 1. High cut trigger guard to prevent the glocked social finger. It is difficult to communicate effectively after a day at the range otherwise. 2. Remove grooves from the trigger face. 3. Steel sights with a lamped front. 4. Lighter striker spring. 5. If using a "-" connector, a NY#1 spring to increase trigger return. 6. Removal of the glock hump on the rear of the grip strap so it points like a 1911. Stippling goes along with this mod to cover the hump reduction surgery. No coating is required as the wedges cut out to reduce the hump are melted over the filler once it is cured, and stippled to blend. I'm personally contemplating finger grove removal. I reduced them to half prior to stippling but haven't really shot it alot since. If it became a high use tool, I think they would get removed.

. :::::: What all are you doing to your Glocks, which manufacturers are you selecting for which parts and why? TruGlo TFX (tritium fiber optic with bright white ring around the front tritium), and maybe Taran Rubber for the grip (replacing the 3M tape from Ace Hardware). That’s it for parts. Mags and ammo for live fire range time. Dummy rounds for dry fire. Oh, several sets of factory spare springs, and a couple other factory parts that haven’t ever broken.
