I have a question as I have never bought a mold before let alone through a group buy. What alloy are the weights calculated with? I had been looking for 255 SWC but this looks like it would serve my purposes better (deer and if cast with straight WW and as a solid, black bear protection) Am I way off base? If Sixshot says it'll be a deer slayer then I bow to his experience. Might as well start my casting career with high quality molds.
If I haven't missed the boat, please put me down for a 4 cavity mold with all the pins. mrjones151 AT gmail DOT com

Thank you Fermin. I figured it's about time I started casting and powder coating my own so I can get exactly what I want and not have to settle any longer. I'm sure I'll have questions along the way.

I had been looking for 255 SWC but this looks like it would serve my purposes better (deer and if cast with straight WW and as a solid, black bear protection) Am I way off base? This bullet is an updated copy of the Lyman 452490, the first version which weighed the same as this one. Lyman later changed the deign to 255 gr. by adding and band and lube groove. The original bullet was a GC design. For deer there should be no problem as a solid if you break the shoulder or cast as a HP a shot in the heart area will do fine.... with bear, I would ask somebody who has done that...sixshot seems to be the guy on that. If Sixshot says it'll be a deer slayer then I bow to his experience. Might as well start my casting career with high quality molds.
