Earlier this week I picked up the second .41 magnum that I've had built by BCA. This one is built on one of the first .44 special SS flat top bisleys that came out a while back. It's a 6 shot long cylinder long hunter conversion. Appointments are a 5 1/2" full custom house S&W barrel, crescent ejector rod from David Clements, full length ejector rod housing and fire blued screws. i also chose white line sights for my old tired eyes....... Last and certainly not least are bighorn sheep grips from the shop of Rob Rowan. Rob's grips have always been very fine but I swear they're getting even better. Maybe this horn was just a little better to work with but the finish is truly a thing to behold. The proportions of this revolver are about perfect in my hands. I hope to be able to care for these for quite a while..... Here's a pic of the new revolver next to it's "big brother". You've seen it before.....

I see where the frame is blocked. I bet it'll never shoot loose. I have to agree on the grips being showpieces. It is subtle, but fireblued pins sure do add to the overall look.
I could go on, but you already know how good it looks. It's not an all show no go type of revolver that's for sure.

The only problem Greg is that it doesn't live here! That is okay though, sooner or later it will need a new home and you know who to call!

To give credit where due since I mentioned Rob's grips, the grips on the blue gun were done by Roy Fishpaw. To the best of my knowledge they were his last piece of bighorn so there may be no more.

Wonderfully executed custom revolver. This type of attention to detail is why Bowen occupies rare air. He’s a gun artist and that steel is his palette ... amazing execution.

Very nice, love the full lenght ERH on the 5.5" S&W barrel, and the grip frame / frame look like one piece.
