While talking of Bulldogs, I've an interesting load. Admit I haven't found a good use for it but it was fun to develop. Matt's bullets has a 135gr pill. Kinda a ball-et like made for the cap n ball guns to improve on the round ball. Being so light and leaving so much empty case, thought of the old buck-n-ball loadings settlers used in their smooth bores. With a suitable charge of Unique or something faster, then a walters wad, the space to the bottom of the bullet filled with #8 shot. So, a pest load, lethal to medium sized pests too. I've not used it in the field yet. My original thinking was since I have a 5 shot, might not want the first up load to be only shot, leaving me a 4 shooter really. The shot and bullet total close to what is a nominal weight. Shoots low as you might guess.

And, casting only adds to the fun and diversity...you can cast a bullet to meet almost any need...try going to the store and getting a specialty load for almost any cartridge.
