Just STOP I will put this out there one more time. Bisley Hunter in .44 Mag. And I will say what I have read most of the time has been very informative with some humor added as everyone needs humor in this sick world. But I just have to say this thread has gone way out there over a word of which everyone knows what it means. There is no reason to break it down or try and break others down by the way they spell and or talk as most I have found do there best to convey information that may help others or that they may be able to gleam some good information to help them. And one does have to remember that in all honesty ALL shooting sports or I should say people that seriously shoot which encompasses everything from hunting to targets or any form of the shooting hobby is small. And also sad to say growing smaller. Think about how many young people get into shooting. Much less Reloading. So as others have said we really need to stick together in all forms of the shooting sports to help keep alive what we have found to be a very enjoyable hobby of which will and does create friends not only close by but all across the world now with the great sharing of information and lives of others through this mystical thing we call the internet. This is a small world and we are not here very long so we need no we have to get along as we do have for the most part a common ground to do so. And to pass the shooting legacy on to others to help keep it alive as time marches by. Do not let Shooting Sports go Gently into that goodnight. If one sits in thundering quiet the soul dies slow instead of yell to the heavens for all to hear and behold the righteous and upstanding and ones of which should be held with tales of woe. I hate getting suckered into this thread again, but if this the first thread you post in on this otherwise fantastic forum, please walk away. You are an internet troll.

Uhm if anyone is showing a lot of investment its those of you who registered in this forum to just run down people in this forum. Why? because someone here got a little ribbing for using the term and then went running back to your forum crying. You guys are acting like some kind of cult. Someone dares disparage the term “boolits” and you all flock here to start running down members of this forum! Maybe your all casting too many “boolits”in poor ventilation.

I don't post here often but I've been around for quite awhile. As I type this my mouse is resting on an old "Sixgunner.com" mousepad from year 2000. I also belong to the "Cast Bullet"(in deference to those who are sensitive to the other term) forum and post more often there. I hope that those who would take our 2nd Amendment rights from us don't see any of this on either forum. It would only serve to strengthen their opinion of gun owners.
I hope that my membership on the "other" site doesn't make me unwanted here. By the way, I am lucky to keep 5 shots on a paper plate from 25 yards so don't jump on me too hard.

This thread has been an interesting read. I am not a member at Cast Boolits, but have spent some time over there as there are some knowledgeable people there. It is kind if funny though, as one reason I have never registered is the term "boolit." It just didn't seem right, but as far as I was concerned ......... it wasn't my site so I had very little to say about it.
I joined this sight from the old one........lots of good info here and a bunch of knowledgeable people too. I just happen to like single actions. I just wish I could afford some of the "cast offs" from this site!
My fear after reading this thread and the thread over on Cast Boolits is that some of those Cast Boolit guys may not be able to shoot for a while due to having their arm in a sling........yep, I think there will be a lot of broken arms from patting themselves on the back.......
I like it here! It's not perfect, but I like it!

I think we made the decision long ago to accept our buddy JT just like he is... This group is the kind that spends the few extra bucks for JT's books with his signature.. We like him!

Just STOP I will put this out there one more time. I'll make it stop. In fact, 550gibbs and Beekeeper just got banned. I'm not going to allow folks to make personal attacks on this forum. BTW John, your capital letter posts are always welcome. -Lee www.singleactions.com

I have a few things that I would like to ad to this thread concerning the type of folks who hang out here. I am a new to this forum. I was able to catch the last 9/10 months of the previous site with about 40 or so posts there. Since this location opened up in May of '09, I have ~202 posts here which is ~200 too many . Many of my posts or nothing more than "atta-boys" and many more questions without much contribution. However, in May of '09 I started a thread "Linebaugh for Beginners", this is the same month this new site began............ At least four members in my general area offered me the oportunity to shoot their linebaughs. I have p.m.ed several folks on this site, and all have replied with freindly and helpful answers. I have seen no signs of elitism among the " regular members" with knowledge and their willingness to share their knowledge. The above is just one example of the friendliness that is found here. everybody knows about MB's book drawings.......just another example. We can find examples of this kind of friendliness each day in many threads. So while nobody needs me to defend them on this forum, I just thought this was an opportunity to point out what this forum is about...........this single thread does not define the folks here. ~c.r.

Thanks, Lee. I'll tell Taffin, but I think he's followed Fermin out the door.

I sure hope John hasn't left. Unfortunately, I was out of town all weekend so I didn't see any of this hit until this morning. Just give me a little time to moderate and I'll keep this place clean. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Before any one leaves for good lets give the admin a chance to moderate. I'm new here but this board is WAY better than most. A few jokers shouldn't discourage the other 99%. This is OUR forum and we should fight to keep it ours. Just a thought.

Last post deleted, thread locked. If folks want to talk guns, talk guns. If folks want to argue and point fingers, use the PM function.
