A couple of years ago John Taffin sent me grips to fit my Triple Lock. I have very recently sold it and wish to pass the grips on to another Triple Lock owner. These grips did not fit my 38-44 or my 25-5!! If a Triple Lock owner will post "I'll take them" and send me their mailing address to me in a PM, I'll mail them to you. No charge.

Robb, I'll get them to you shortly!
Nuts-I should have traded them to you for those stag grips. Lol

No, thank you, Robb.
John sent them to me without any charge. It is fitting that I send them to a member of this forum the same way.

Since rWt said the grips did not fit his 25-5 or 38-44. Then I want to know how. They will fit a triple lock. Grips pictured are for a late model round butt "N" frame. Has the triple lock had a round butt alteration?

Early N frames had a different size/shape than current N frames. I would have to pull one of each out to compare but I know they are different.

No.The grips are not a perfect fit. But, they did fit the revolver well enough to be used and were far superior to the old service grips. John sent me a second set that fits my 38-44 in a similar way. This second set would not fit the Triple Lock or the 25-5.

Nice grips and nice gesture rWt. May the goodness of Mr. Taffin long resonate in our community.

The grips arrived and they are very nice! Thank you rWt. Unfortunately I did not look at the pictures of the inside of the grips but if you look closely you will see these are square but grips built to convert a round butt gun to the square butt configuration. Thus they do not fit my triple lock which as the square but grip frame. If someone has a round but N frame gun that wants these I will pass them on to the next person. The first "Heck ya!" with an address gets them headed their way.

Heck ya! If these will fit a Lew Horton 24-3 round butt frame I'd love to try them out. PM coming your way Robb.

The grips came this morning and boy are they gorgeous! Very nice fit and finish. They feel good in hand and seem to fit just right on my N frame. I'll get a ferrule for the left panel to mount them up proper and give them a try. When I do I'll post a picture here. With a lot of grip and a little 3" barrel, the Smith.44spl kinda reminds me of a SAA Sheriff. Thank you again Robb and to you rWt, and come to think of it thanks to Mr. Taffin for starting this passaround in the first place.
