Sweet Truck! Nothing like a diesel for power & towing. They are right "Spunky" too ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) That 2.5" receiver had me scratching my head first time on mine (2013 F-250 6.7L). No one mentioned it when buying the truck, but i found out first time puttin a hitch to use ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) lol. Im guessing it uses the DEF also? Good luck with your new ride. Ray

Thanks! Me too! My Chevy had a standard 2" receiver but the old man bought a 2011 Chevy 2500 with the Duramax and its 2.5" receiver had us baffled too. I figured I'd forego the adapter and just get a nice 2.5" hitch. It does use the DEF fluid and 900ft-lbs gets it down the road pretty good. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

CraigC, I've also got a Dodge diesel with the airbag adjustable rear end & I've got the same aluminum adjustable hitch you show. One of my son's gave me the hitch last winter for Christmas, its pretty handy, although I do take it off when not using it, don't want some sticky fingered pothead "borrowing" it when I'm not looking. My truck in a 3500 series & I'm sure I could pull Fermin, Hoover & Max behind my 5th wheel with ease, all the way to Arizona, just saying! Great looking truck you got there!

I have a 2016 Outdoorsman Edition. Has the dealer installed gooseneck hitch and rigged up to use a fifth wheel if I want. Bed is wired for plug in. It's a 4x4 and an absolute beast! Nice looking truck Craig!

Decided to trade in my `04 Chevy 2500HD for a new `16 Dodge 2500. This time I went all out with the Laramie Longhorn package, 6.7 Cummins diesel and black/cattle tan interior. I also got the airbag rear suspension that automatically levels itself according to load. It usually sits ass high but I've got the airbags set at a lower setting which is closer to level. My plan is to install a 2" leveling kit in the front, 20" wheels with 35" tires and probably a tonneau cover. So far pretty impressed with the Weigh Safe adjustable hitch I got yesterday. It's all aluminum and stainless, with a 2.5" shank and an adjustable drop to 6" or rise to 7" and it actually has a built-in tongue weight scale. I'm really happy with it and hardly even miss the Chevy I drove for 12yrs. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) ![](http://photos.imageevent.com/newfrontier45/autoii/large/IMG_7562b.jpg) ![](http://photos.imageevent.com/newfrontier45/autoii/large/IMG_7573b.jpg) Very nice! I could get used to that! 900 lb-ft of torque, correct?

Better than most half tons from the old days. The standard coil spring 2500's ride really good too. I drove several 3500 duallys and they were impressive too. Every one rode better than my Chevy. Shocking for solid front axle trucks. I decided not to install my old toolbox in the new truck so the hitch will probably go in the bed once I get all that ironed out. I usually carry a tool bag and recovery equipment and I haven't quite decided how I'm going to do it with the new one. I was disappointed with the new GM trucks in 2015 but Dodge makes a really good looking truck! The interiors and electronics are great too. How do you like the airbags? I have a 2016 Outdoorsman Edition. Has the dealer installed gooseneck hitch and rigged up to use a fifth wheel if I want. Bed is wired for plug in. It's a 4x4 and an absolute beast! Nice looking truck Craig! Mine's rigged for a fifth wheel too. Has the five attachment points and the plug in the bed. Nice truck. My wife final convince me to get rid of my 1995 ford. I bought my first Dodge. ![](http://i535.photobucket.com/albums/ee352/cj3awillys/image.jpg1_zpslghoihop.jpg) That's a great looking truck! I've been a Chevy man all my life from my very first 25yrs ago. GM kinda lost me with the 2015 redesign. I started lusting after Dodge/Chrysler cars a few years ago and I ended up buying my first car two years ago, a Charger R/T. I love the car and as you can see, fell in love with their trucks too! We took a new Charger 392 for a spin and it has such a great engine and erotic exhaust note, I might have to trade up in a year or two. Now if I can just talk the wife into trading her GMC Acadia Denali for a Durango we'll be a Dodge household. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ![](http://photos.imageevent.com/newfrontier45/autoii/large/IMG_5703b.jpg) Very nice! I could get used to that! 900 lb-ft of torque, correct? Yes!!!
